The tour rings in the Christmas season at the Roanoke Performing Arts Theatre November 23rd. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 18th at 10am.  The popularity of Mannheim Steamroller has made them the largest selling Christmas artist of all time, and launching two tours will meet the high demand for this family holiday tradition.   The group has sold more than 35 million recordings and will be releasing a limited edition, 25th Anniversary Christmas collection.
"The unique talent of Chip Davis and Mannheim Steamroller has created such loyalty that audience members make this part of their family Christmas tradition. They have been on a 25 year journey with this incomparable group and their many unparalleled recordings," said Lee Marshall of Magic Arts & Entertainment.
Chip Davis founded Mannheim Steamroller in 1974 to showcase his interest in fusing modern popular and classical techniques.  After the first Fresh Aire album was turned down by major record labels, Davis founded American Gramaphone for its release as well as all subsequent Mannheim Steamroller albums. A total of eight Fresh Aire albums were released, concluding with Fresh Aire 8 in 2000.  Fresh Aire 7 received the Grammy Award® for Best New Age Recording in 1990.
Magic Arts & Entertainment has been bringing hundreds of thousands of people to their feet each year for over 25 years in the entertainment industry.  And from the very beginning, the company has been led by business partners Lee D. Marshall and Joe Marsh.
As former partners in Magicworks Entertainment, Marshall and Marsh began by producing David Copperfield' s first-ever tour in 1983.  The company then grew to produce, manage, book and promote a versatile roster of live entertainment events that expanded to include such high-grossing concerts as the North American tours for Janet Jackson, Cher, N Sync, Britney Spears, Barry Manilow and many others.
Marshall, Marsh and their staff have over 150 combined years of experience in the entertainment industry.  And today, the office continues to produce a roster of shows throughout North American theatres throughout each year.  Current tours include "The Magic of David Copperfield, Michael Flatley's "Lord of the Dance," "Jesus Christ Superstar" starring Ted Neeley and "The 101 Dalmatians Musical!"
In 2008, Magic Arts & Entertainment was acquired by the Tix Corporation (stock symbol TIXC), with Marshall and Marsh assuming the roles of Co-CEO of Tix Productions, a newly formed subsidiary of Tix Corporation.  Magic Arts & Entertainment has offices in Cleveland, OH and Salt Lake City, UT.
